GOLF CART SERVER | JOB DESCRIPTION

LOCATION: 604 CLUBHOUSE

JOB TYPE: Part-Time – Non-Exempt / Hourly

REPORTS TO: FOH MANAGER

SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS

A Golf Cart Server is responsible for the setup, maintenance, and operation of the golf cart as they would a bartender responsible for the bar. In addition to the essential duties of a Server/ Bartender, the Golf Cart server takes food and drink orders from patrons outside of the restaurant, in designated areas on the golf course, and stock and serves food items and beverages in accordance with standard recipes and procedures. While maintaining Golf Cart item inventories, the Golf Cart server provides excellent service to golf course patrons, rings up accurate guest orders using the provided handheld POS, collects payments, and provides appropriate change. Also responsible for proper check-in and check-out procedures as mandated by management to ensure that the Golf Cart service meets food safety standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform all cashier, server, and bartender duties according to company-posted job descriptions.
Meets all uniform, appearance, and grooming standards as specified in the Employee Handbook and training materials.
Adheres to Company Golf Cart Policy and Procedures (signed agreement)
Has working knowledge of all menu items in regard to the preparation method, ingredients, portion size, and substitutions
Follows the alcohol serving procedures concerning beverage service standards, awareness standards, and government regulations with 100% accuracy.
Ensure that the Golf Cart and its perimeter are kept clean, trash receptacles are emptied accordingly, and paper goods and condiments are stocked, including service items such as ice, garnish food items, cups, napkins, condiments, utensils, and to-go supplies.
Prepares and verifies that all menu items are presented and executed according to our company quality standards 100% of the time.
Performs menu merchandising procedures accurately by listing and explaining the drink and menu specials, suggestive items, and upselling when appropriate.
Assist in training new hires in the service style of the Golf Cart server, including standard operating procedures and safety and sanitation expectations.
Performs daily and running side work, completing assigned checklists/tasks.
Communicate with the Lead or management regarding any FOH/BOH operational updates or concerns
Resolve and report customer complaints promptly and according to company guidelines.
Attend designated meetings and training
Maintain all certification/training exams pertaining to job title (ServSafe food and alcohol certifications)
Take cash payments in exchange for services rendered and process credit and debit card payments following training procedures.
Responsible for a bar bank, checking in with a manager to assign the bank funds, using proper cash handling procedures, and obtaining manager approval at check-out, returning the bar drawer at 100% accuracy.
Claim and record cash tips earned according to company and legal standards.
All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be able to read and communicate in English clearly and effectively.
Must be at least 18, with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds frequently.
Must demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to guest satisfaction.
Must have a valid health card or equivalent.
Must be able to perform simple math calculations and understand units and measures.
Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for the duration of a scheduled shift.
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
Must have the ability to lift, stoop, and bend.
Must be reliable and punctual and work with a sense of urgency at all times

Compensation: $14.00 per hour
